Paul & Reese, co-owners of Broadway Transmission in Oakland for 26 years, deserve more than 5-Stars! Their service & expertise are unparalleled & exceptional in every way! We recently had them rebuild the transmission in our ‘97 VW Eurovan, and every step of the way, they were there to inform us & include us in the process. Our only complaint is that they’re an hour away from where we live, but honestly, they are worth the drive! Wish they could be our VW mechanics but don’t think we’ll be needing them for another 100K, but we might just stop by to say hi once in awhile! Such a great team they are! Thank you Paul & Reese! 🚐

The process was painless,, very friendly and extremely efficient. Within one week, my vehicle was back on the road and better than new. The place is a gem and they are very knowledgeable and fair. Paul took care of a misfire problem for me this week on my old Honda. He had a busy week, but managed to find some time to service my vehicle. I have been using this shop for perhaps 7 years, and I get professional and courteous service every time.

Broadway Automotive and Transmission has been my auto shop for about 5+ years now. We have an old car, a 1998 Honda, that we want to keep going. So, stuff is going to happen. It is important to have a mechanic you can rely on who can find and fix the problems and give good advice about the course of action. Paul is that guy. I really appreciate the service I get here. And, as a bonus, Paul is a good dude with a cheerful and helpful attitude. Nobody loves having to pay money to get a vehicle repaired, but having a good mechanic doing the job properly helps take the sting out of it.
